The Breakfast was out of this world. Tasty and delicious - I mean you cant stop eating and the coffee was hot but not burning hot - it was just nice. The close proximity of the place to the center is a hop skip & jump distance.
For some reason between 7 to 8am - there was this pungent odour from the bathroom - we did inform the cleaning team, the next day it reduced. Not sure what it was. That was the only thing.

My stay at Pousada Marendaz was exceptional. The place is right next to the historical centre of Paraty. It can get a little loud at night so bring your earplugs, if you are a light sleeper like me, I was fine with my Loop earplugs. I felt like a queen at the breakfast, it's so plentiful and tasty, there are so many different things to choose from (i am coeliac and was a bit cautious if there will be food for me but i felt spoilt with all different foods). Overall, couldn't imagine a better stay.
If I could only have 1 suggestion it would be to put up some shelving in the room as there was no space to unpack my bags

Breakfast and location.
No parking
The flash of toilets were broken, water was leaking (both rooms)
TV remote was broken, couldn't switch tv on,only manually
The toilet door didn't have a handle (broken), so couldn't close the door
