Location, breakfast, car park space and the hosts.

Owners were very attentive and breakfast was excellent and made to order. Location was very good with free parking.
Ensuite shower room was very tight and not ideally designed.

Rothay House was in a great spot to explore the Lake District, and within Ambleside was close to restaurants, and to hiking trails in the area. The hosts were very helpful and served a great daily breakfast.
There was limited ventilation in our bathroom, but this would not deter us from booking a stay here again.

Very nice area , parking available 3 mins walk to all amenities Breakfast was nice with plenty of options given
Room 3 is too small for a Double bed and kept catching the corner of the bed everytime I went round it bruises on my foot and shin .Theres a mirror thats no good to anyone in the corner too dark no room to stand in front of I had to leave my clothes in my suitcase. Not enough hanging space and what hanging space there was I had to repair as for the shower room sink too small toilet small when sat on toilet your knees touch the wall the shower head needs to be replaced due to more water running down piping then shower head the cover for the vent fell off hit me on head.The shower door not fitted right.Unfolded a small towel and white talc / powder fell from it even after the daily visits in to the room with his lubricant spray which was left in the room by the owner they visit your room daily supposedly to check you haven't got your mobile phone on charge and request you dont charge your phone on the night time .on my last day I over heard Darren telling other guests that there were in one of the best rooms as room (3) three was their cheapest so lacked alot of benefits . I left that hotel feeling very disappointed and disgusted
