Second time here in years

Though a bit dated in decor, it still has great value for money. Staff greeted me by name as soon as I walked through the doors on my informed check-in time; how personable! Bed was firm and so good to sleep in, and I had a nice, albeit tiny, view of the ocean from my room. Room was spacious and comfy. Location was excellent; you're only a few steps away from Gaya Street market and a 10-minute walk from Suria Sabah mall and the Jesselton point. There's a restaurant just next to the hotel, but the location is great for other nice eateries! There's also a money changer kiosk within the hotel.

These are non-issues but may be useful to other potential guests: The hot water in the shower wasn't consistent and there's lack of comfortable space to sit in the lobby.

Hotel 63 in good location

Ideal location with easy access to amenities. Spacious room & bathroom.

Poor Internet connection and it seems that there is no Internet access after 9pm.

Exceptional

The room is very spacious and the building is clean and airy. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring. The location is close to many malls, shops and restaurants. (Go to Little Italy).

If you're a backpacker, this is going to be out of your range. And if you're one of those people that needs a Hilton or a Hyatt, you're not going to be happy. But if you can afford the price and don't need a fancy name, this place is great.

very nice

the hotel was very well maintained, the room was very large, it was super clean, had a mini fridge, the furnishings were nice, so many of the cheaper hotels are finished off roughly, this was not, the staff were fantastic. always saying hello or acknowledging you, I felt really comfortable, they do not provide breakfast at the hotel, but there are so many places to eat around, and that is why it’s a bit cheaper, they also provide water in glass bottles to reduce waste, yay! would recommend it.

Staff always attentive and helpful.Rooms very spacious.Cheap PPV TV.Sunday markets and plenty of dine in/takeaway restaurants very close by.

great value for money

receptionist is very helpful. housekeeping very good. hotel within walking distance to city centre and waterfront. a lot of conveniences nearby ie restaurants, atm, shopping complex, clinics, pharmacies, 24hr store

limited tv channels room lighting was a bit gloomy. could use mix lighting of warm & cool white for more vibes

Recommended!

The room was big, bed was comfy, excellent location within the city centre, great food around the area. Easy access to jetty, shopping malls, weekend night market, Sunday morning market. Recommended to stay on higher floor.

Just a small problem, the drainage of the sink seem slow, looks like blocked on the drain pipe, do check on it.

Excellent stay

Room is clean and very spacious. Staffs were friendly and helpful especially the front desk staff Othman (if not mistaken). Overall, my family and I were very satisfied and we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

A perfect stay though just for 1 night.

No free breakfast was being provided. Excellent location, Gaya street is just a few steps away from the hotel. Suria Shopping Mall is in walking distance.

Classic yet modern hotel in the heart of the city

The hotel has both the old classic charm and yet modern. Location was good. It's opposite the Sabah tourism office, with night and Sunday on the same street. We can also walk to the mall n other markets by the coast
