The Priory Hotel

Great hotel with lovely clean room and superb restaurant. We loved staying here. Will come back again soon.

After a week of one night stays in 'historic' 3-star Welsh hotels, our stay at The Priory was perfect luxury. The owners have managed to modernise and preserve its historic character and fabric while adding a relaxing mediterranean feel to the surroundings. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the wine list perfectly paired. The room came with its own little private garden and was really comfortable. Making the most of the bath and shower, I managed to feel like an afternoon at the spa! The front of house was really nice and extremely helpful, especially when we had a puncture with one of our motorbikes and needed to stay a little longer beyond check-out.

The RAC provisionally fixed our tyre issue so we could be on our way but it meant we couldn't stay another night! :-) The only minor issue is for Booking.com/hotel website to update directions or more prominent signage from the High Street as we had trouble finding the hotel (let alone the car park entrance round the rear) with the address in the sat nav and got stuck in the one-way system a few times!!

It was tired. Stupidly I opted for the ‘cosy’ room which Looked ok In the Photos but really wasn’t . It was tiny and extraordinarily Hot. Had the info said it was hot I’d have booked a regular room. Things don’t all work .
