The Castle Inn Hotel

Check in was easy and quick. The hotel building is lovely and the location is delightful, given the proximity to Bramber Castle and it's church. The range of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room was particularly welcome. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate bath and shower. The pie served in the restaurant was delicious and the waitress was welcoming and efficient.

The only disappointment was the breakfast. It was so poor we skipped breakfast on day two and went elsewhere. Given that it was included in the price this was frustrating. The filter coffee was cold and tasteless. Please change your continental breakfast offering. It was pretty much an afterthought. The apple juice and yogurts were particularly bad. Even the cooked breakfast was so so with a single slice of toast and a meagre portion of scrambled and smoked salmon..The staff serving breakfast need further training and we're not up to the standard of the evening restaurant staff. Breakfast is not a good aspect of the overall offering to cut corners on.

Clean and excellent staff

Good location for our short break

Breakfast was nice. Good range of items in the menu.

The front of the hotel looks great. When you get inside there wasn’t anywhere to sit. There were 6 people in and nowhere else. The main breakfast room was closed at 4:30.

Staff were very friendly and helpful

I booked a double room only to be presented with a double bed and 3 bunk beds significantly reducing space in the room. There were no plugs anywhere near a mirror so impossible to dry my hair, not very well thought out layout. The room needed a complete refurbishment, shower was minuscule. Bed uncomfortable due to being 2 singles joined together
