Room was comfortable enough for a one night stay. Staff, particularly receptionist & bar staff were friendly, helpful and chatty.
A little dated, our room was in a warren as the hotel isn't the easiest to navigate.

The room was beautifully quiet The facilities were good on the whole( see below)
Lunch was very tasty and breakfast was perfectly adequate
The dinner for the 609 squadron I was attending at the hotel was absolutely excellent. The room was perfect and the staff exceptional.
The wifi was very problematic. At times it would not log me in. It kept saying the password I'd used was iincorrect even though I knew it was the right one( I'd checked it very carefully).
When I tried to hang my dress in the wardrobe the whole of the rail collasped which gave me a bit of a shock. I told them at the desk downstairs but they didn't offer to do anything about it.

The receptionist was fantastic, efficient, kind & welcoming. The bar staff were also marvellous! The breakfast was lovely!
The bed wasn’t big enough so we were quite uncomfortable. The shower door was ‘fixed’ and made it difficult to get in and out of the bath. The floorboards in our room were extremely creaky, but it’s a very old building.
