A very simple local hotel. Not only a very safe area but a non-touristy residential area with genuine local shops and bars.
It was spotlessly clean so there are no complaints but the shower room was slightly dated. So what? Well people expect brand new fixtures and fittings and this hasn't got them. The bedroom was very modern.

Having visited Paris numerous times we had never previously stayed in the Montparnasse area. We were very pleasantly surprised how nice and safe the district where Hotel Denfert is. It is on a lovely leafy street which has several Boulangeries, Cafés, Brasseries etc. Everything we wanted was all just 2 or 3 minutes from the hotel.
The hotel itself had a delightful secluded garden terrace. Our room could've been a little larger, and certainly needed some shelf storage in the bathroom. But it was all very comfortable and clean with very helpful staff.
The TV could not connect to the wifi, and there was no fridge in our room.

The location was great, and they had a wonderful backyard Terrace
The room was hot and there was no fan or AC. And the bathroom was kind of old and rundown… But our friends were staying downstairs and they had a brand new lovely bathroom… So maybe they’re being renovated
