This was the cheapest accommodation around Rapperswil, and the walks to Rapperswil were absolutely beautiful through farms and along the lake.
There were SO many flies in my room. I believe someone had left the balcony door open for a bit too long, and by the time I came home in the evening, there were well over 15 flies hovering around my bunk bed. Now I know some things are outside of the hostel’s control, but I asked the front desk to help in the morning before I left, and I don’t think they did anything about the flies when I came back. It was extremely uncomfortable to sleep as they kept buzzing around me. I also woke up with several bug bites. Breakfast in the morning also had tons of flies hovering around the food.
