view from my room was great especially when the cathedral bells were chiming, magical, breakfast was the best I'd had while travelling all over UK

Loved the decor.
The staff were friendly. Great communication.The location was perfect, i loved how close to town we were, but the street was quiet. Breakfast was lovely, a massive selection of food. I was full for the rest of the day.
The hotel was clean and tidy.
Our room was comfortable and quiet.
The only thing I noticed was the room had a little wear and tear, some of the paint was coming off the walls near the head of the bed and some water damage to the unit in the bathroom. But this didn't take away from our enjoyment of staying at the hotel, and we will definitely come back again.

Excellent location
The first night we were given a room next to the staff facilities with frosted out Windows so we had no idea what was outside!
Staff came and went at all times with voices and doors closing.
There were no hands towels and they had not refilled soap dispensers.
Upon complaining, late in the evening the manager quickly remedied the situation and moved us to another room. The manager was very good!
Breakfast was mediocre. Cooked breakfast was cold sitting on a supposedly hot plate. Bring back the cooked to order breakfast of a couple of years ago!
