The view was amazing from the balcony of the hotel. Walkable to all the public art and many great restaurants. Room was up in the attic so a bit small but it was for a single person so no problem.

Fabulous location. Perfect views from the attic room across Valparaiso Harbour. Quirky old hotel with wonderful staff.
The attic had me leaning like a drunken sailor after a few days; A-frame ceiling did not allow fully upright passage past furniture. Access was by a staircase best described as a ladder! All the lower rooms would have higher comfort level, if maybe less ‘romance’ of a unique perch above the city.
The real downer was night-time noise: some kind of nightclub nearby with HUGE music/talk impact until 3 or 4am every night Wed-Sat

Location. Good breakfast. Great views. Allowed us to store luggage after checkout.
Small cramped bathroom and room.
Not obvious at first how to get to breakfast. Steep climb if you don't use the funicular.
