I stayed at Art Hostel for a month, and my experience was really good. The place is nice and truly lives up to its name. Like many buildings and houses in Buenos Aires, it also has a very vintage charm.
It’s close to subway stations, buses, supermarkets, gyms, the San Telmo market, and more — and even so, the area feels quite safe to walk around at night.
Marcelo was always very attentive and helpful throughout my stay!!

Our room was lovely, tidy and clean. The beds were comfy. The air con was effective with extra blankets and a pillow if needed. Towels are provided.
The staff were really friendly and helpful with recommendations and questions. The free walking tours they recommended are great! Check in was smooth and check out was fine - we left our luggage there for a bit.
You are 10 minute walk from the San Temlo market which has nice food but closes before 8pm. No more than a 30 minute walk to any of the famous sights either.
The shared bathroom closest to us was always clean but very small. Always had toilet roll and empty bins but no soap. The toilets further away were bigger. The toilets downstairs were a bit more modern and had soap (they’re in the middle of reservations on the second floor).
Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay which is on the cheaper side😃
Our room was next to the roof top, which was fine, but there was no time limit on noise so people played music into the night.

Atención amable del personal. Buena relación tamaño-precio por la habitación privada con baño. Ducha caliente. Guardan el equipaje antes y después del check-in/check-out. Excelente ubicación.
Encontré tres cucarachas durante mi estadía de una semana. Había un fuerte olor a cloaca en todo momento. Muchísimo ruido de una máquina (probablemente bomba de agua) que no permitía dormir. Tuve una pérdida en la llave de paso del baño, al lado del inodoro, que solamente fue tapada con trapos que no impedían una mini inundación diaria. Feo olor en los pasillos casi constantemente. El cuarto de lavado de ropa del hostel estaba justo al lado de esta habitación, por lo que a la mañana había circulación constante de personal, ruido de las lavadoras y de las conversaciones de empleados.
