Close to the beach and to Salt dive - and to The Dive cafe.
The grounds are well looked after and the lodge’ feel of the place and first impressions are good.
It needs investment. Rotting deck planks, missing shower tiles and poor plumbing. I understood the water issue affects pressure but throughout my stay there was only a dribble of cold water available.
The restaurant is basic and serves the same thing each morning but good breakfasts to set you up for the day. Lunch and supper were narrow choices with few changes.
Coffee is instant so I needed to go down to The Dive for a cup of coffee. There is a nearby restaurant with sunset views that seemed to have mostly the same meals at higher prices.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful. The food was delicious and tasted homemade (because it was). The commmon area is beautiful and comfortable to spend your day relaxing after a hike or dive.
I did not expect that much value for money (mileage may vary depending on your expectations and past experiences) and will definitly be back if I'm in Taveuni again.
hot water availability was not always guranteed (but I cant really blame the place for what was esentially a drought).

The location and the view from our room (the treehouse)
No electricity between 11am-4pm, the hottest part of the day. Besides breakfast, the Restaurants meals were unpleasant.
