Riad Melhoun is a fabulous boutique hotel. My wife and I were looked after from the moment we arrived. All the staff were great - keen to help but not over bearing, making our stay as simple as possible.
The hotel is clean, looks gorgeous, and had all the amenities we wanted. The rooftop area lovely to sit out on and read etc. It’s quiet and calm and absolutely the opposite of the noise outside.
Location wise it’s central to the souks and both north and south medina. The map they gave us of the city was really useful.
The room was great. Again clean, not huge - as this is a traditional Riad - and the bed comfy.
We took one day trip with a hired driver (Simon) to Essaouira. He was brilliant and learned loads about the country and the places we passed.
We ate twice in the restaurant and the food is excellent.
Thankyou Ahmed and all the staff for making our Marrakesh trip so special.

The decor was absolutely stunning and everything I dreamt of for a first stay in Marrakesh. The staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating, including our endless questions about life in Morocco.
Nothing at all…there was very limited storage in the room and no bedside tables were a bit tricky

NO ALCOHOL
Spent 6 nights in Marrakesh and moved to this riad for our last night . We spent 2 full days here & one night and enjoyed a massage , lunch & dinner to a high standard
Was disappointing to not be able to get a glass of wine and if I’d known would have chosen elsewhere . After scanning the reviews it wasn’t mentioned anywhere . This was quite important as after the craziness of the medinas the Riad provides a safe quiet place to relax
No alcohol licence
Rooftop although very beautiful was pretty cramped for sunbathing . Lots of shaded seating and upstairs pool but only 6 sun loungers
About 2.5 foot deep more like a square hot tub size

The property was immaculately kept, and beautifully presented.
The staff were fantastic and happy to assist.
The rooms were very clean and decorated with care.
Cant express enough how wonderful the food was. Just delicious.
The couple hamman massage and scrub felt like your stress and tension just melted away!
