The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money.
Tv channels were sparse.

We travel to Auckland every 3 months for medical reasons. For the last 18 months Alpers Lodge has been our "go to" place to stay. This time we received a fantastic rate. Our request for a ground floor room (Room 4) was auctioned within an hour online. We didn't use the restaurant but have in the past. Very good food (with a 15% discount this week).
Can't fix stupid, like the driver of the pre SUV who parked so close to our rental car that I could only open the door about 200 mm when we needed to leave. Try climbing over the centre console a few weeks after a full knee replacement. Not the venue's fault, like I said, can't fix "stupid).

Breakfast was a little expensive as I ordered but then needed to buy orange juice which could be inclusive. Or maybe provide the buffet breakfast
The car parking was tight in the corner otherwise nice a close to the room.

Quiet
Didn't feel like a delux king. Just ordinary. Not large. No power points beside bed. No proper area for kettle. Had to put it on top of microwave which was high already, as no other power plugs. Paint pealing in bathroom.
