Scenic rural location, stunning views of mountains on horizons.
Breakfast was excellent, as others had reported. TIP: when traveling, you want to front-load proteins and fats and fiber big time at breakfast, eat a light lunch (or none at all), and then have a moderately sized dinner (an overly heavy dinner will just screw up your sleep). In Iceland hotels, that means load up on the boiled eggs and (if available) ham or bacon, have tomatoes and cucumbers for roughage, maybe some fruit, and a hearty Greek yogurt or Icelandic skyr for dessert with some granola, nuts, or raisins on top. Avoid the simple carbs (mini-croissants, cupcakes, etc) because they'll simply make you get hungry again within an hour or two.
Rough unpaved road to get there, luckily it hadn't rained for some time so we just drove very slowly. And swarms of flies/mites...obviously, not the hotel's fault, lol. And maybe a simple diagram of where our room was would've been more helpful than just oral instructions from the receptionist?

the locations is great, the staff is helpful, the view if the cottage
we stayed at a 2 bedroom cottage. It is almost an studio with a kitchenette (the oven didn’t work) with 2 paravan to divide spaces. beside the double bed there is a refrigerator and electric plac, on the other side, a 1 bedroom, a sofa and a 3 person bed for children!!! almost a bazar with everything and nothing! many unnecessary stuffs all over the room, children books and toys on the dining table.
as everything is old I can not say if the stuff are clean but we didn’t feel comfortable at all. the bed sheets should be replaced because of the holes on it! not acceptable at all. we used 2 electric devices ( toaster and microwave) and the fuse jumped!!! we couldn’t use 2 different devices at the same time.
