Location of the hotel was good and allowed for easy access to nearby Hakata Station and major shopping centres
Staff were a bit cold and the atmosphere of the hotel was not welcoming, this may be focus on the style/atmosphere of the hotel overall. There seemed to be an emphasis on the theme of the hotel but quality did not match this in execution

Great location a short walk from Hakata Station. Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms.
The bath towels they provide are really small.
Breakfast is okay, not amazing.

Stayed for 5 days. It’s very luxurious and the rooms are large. Bed is of good quality and the rooms are not too small. Service is not bad. Good money for what we get. I love the place!! Very insta worthy. Tried lamp lights hotel after coming back yamaguichi(1 days later). How I wish I continue staying in The Basics. Don’t change ur hotel if u decide to stay here. Near to a lot of Izakayas.

Service is non existent, they send you to deal with a check in/out machine and no help with luggage. Room was very dusty and not cleaned, there was years worth of dust behind the TV.
