Hôtel Be Onrii

Very cozy place and great location.

It was clean and rooms as well as the lounge area were pretty and very nice. There was complimentary tea/coffee. The check in and out were super easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They are also open 24/7 so you could come and go any time. The rooms had nuxe body wash which was nice. The location is also very good, its in an alley with multiple other hotels so it felt safe. Also close to a lot of places, we walked everywhere. And it was great that they have a lift.

Mainly everything was great but just a few tiny tiny things but there didnt affect our stay. We got upgraded and although the new room was a bit bigger in square meters then but the ceilings were lower so as my partner is 2m tall it felt more like a downgrade. Also it would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room. At first the bathroom had a weird smell but it went away fast. It was a bit uncomfortable that you could feel the gap between the two single beds that made the double bed but wasnt a big issue.

Unfortunately the hotel was mid-refurb and was a long way from being finished and should not have accepted guests. My room was through an unfinished stairway with an extremely loud slamming door which could be heard all night. My room had a masking tape door number. The door had a very loud squeaking which woke my family member up in the next room. The Air Con did not work. The shower was so small, that anyone larger that “normal” simply wouldn’t have fitted in without hitting the mixer tap and either turning off the water or adjusting the temperature by accident. The worst thing was that workers in the hotel switched off the hot water during our stay meaning we were late for a dinner reservation. The staff were amazing but it didn’t detract that someone made the conscious decision to open the hotel to paying guests, taking the risk that the building work would not affect the guests. This is not a cheap hotel, our stay costing in excess of £1k for 3 nights - sadly this hotel did not meet our expectations and whoever made the decision to open while building work took place, should note you made a mistake, and put your staff in a very awkward position. You also had paint covered builders helping them selves to coffee in the reception area - not a great look. Family members also were affected in a different part of the building, being disturbed at 9am by sanding happening in adjacent rooms, cables on display through sheets above corridor voids, and non-working elevators - hence using the stairs which were strewn with decorating materials. So, no. We won’t return, and I’d like to think that the decision makers apologise to their staff for putting them on the front line to rightfully complaining guests.
