An excellent welcoming property for

An excellent all round property from the initial welcome and throughout our stay. Our Room number 6 was so spacious with first class furnishings. Well prepared and presented breakfast, with our request for gluten free options fulfilled. Would happily recommend.

I only need one word. Excellent!

Nice individual style house, very clean and nicely decorated. Large bedroom, modern bathroom. Freshly cooked high quality English breakfast served at your table. Owners and staff very friendly and efficient. Good car park available no charges.

Excellent, will definitely return.

Room was fantastic, large, bright, clean and very stylish. Breakfast was brilliant, full English breakfast and many continental options too, plus plenty of coffee!! Location was perfect, beautiful view of the bay from our room. Plenty of parking, and taxi's were very reasonable.

Exceptional

Our bedroom was delightful, we had a room with a view of Ilfracombe, the room was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were great. It was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Anne-Marie was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were excellent with so much choice. We cannot thank Anne-Marie enough and we would certainly go back.

Lovely, clean Hotel, Great Breakfast, friendly host.

Anne Marie was a lovely host, great communication throughout. Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean and the shower was great! The toiletries smelled amazing too! Lots of tea and coffee available. They have convenient stations for refilling tea and coffee throughout the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and I liked their menu choices. Very welcoming and warm hotel. We will definitely revisit.

Incredible, Indulgent and just what the doctor ordered

The Staff were incredibly accommodating, I arrived past the check-in time and the owner was still waiting for us and let us in with a smile and open arms. The breakfast was stunning, the cleanliness was incredible too!

This is impossible to change but the hill it's on was a bit difficult for my car to get up, but the parking was ample and lovely. Also, I suppose the TV not having a Disney + app was a bit sad, but these things are out of control for the owner so I'm not even upset. Next time I stay, I'll bring a laptop and connect it to the TV... so really it's not even a qualm

A treasure, highly recommend!

The house exceeded my expectations and was the best I've stayed in in Ilfracombe and I visit frequently as my sons live there. Brilliant location, a few minutes drive into the Hugh Street and right next to Bicclescombe Park where you can have a scenic stroll. Plenty of parking on site and the owner Anne Marie was friendly and welcoming. My room was a good size, with a mini fridge where a pint of milk was waiting for me ( much nicer than cartons). On the spacious landing there was a trolley where you could restock with tea, coffee etc whenever you needed. There is even a lift so you do not have to carry your luggage up the stairs. A great choice of breakfast for all, in a dining room where you are allocated your own table and which has lovely views. I only stumbled across this place as I was looking for the cheapest rate available and I wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Highly recommend!

Super relaxing love stay

Super welcoming, give you milk and teabags for the room. List of local restaurants and activities and numbers to book. Fill out a breakfast form so you don’t waste any food. Amazing stay :)

An excellent choice for a stay in Ilfracombe, with great parking facillities

An excellent choice for a stay in Ilfracombe. The Guest House is very spacious with lovely clean and well-equipped rooms. A perfect location for exploring the area. The staff are very friendly and have great local knowledge. The car park easily accommodates a car for each room and the spaces are very generous. I happily left my car in the car park for the duration of my stay and walked or used Taxi's to get around.

Nice little hideaway

The room was good although ours faced the back garden and my partner found it hot in the room. Room 4. The ensuite was big and was very clean too. The host, Anne-Marie was very welcoming and lovely. The breakfast was amazing, I had the full English, partner had Porridge. There was ample continental, toast and cereals plus tea and an array of coffees.

It was just lovely. If it can be improved maybe a bit more control on the heating in the room. Ours was warm and the radiators were off and the only rad on was the towel rad. But that aside, the place was very lovely.

Off-season winter vacation near the North Devon coastline

You actually book your specific room in advance which was a nice unique feature, so no nasty surprises when you arrive. We stayed in Room 2. The room was spacious with a high ceiling. Breakfast was freshly prepared each morning and of a high standard. We were required to select our breakfast requirements the day before and the time we wanted it at within an hour time slot which was a good idea and helpful to everyone. We choose our breakfast table upon arrival for our entire stay, which was another nice feature. Due to COVID-19, rooms were not serviced during our stay but we could change towels and have bins emptied if required. In addition, there were hot drink making facilities we could top up during our stay if required. Room 2 had a fridge (with a pint of milk) in it, which was helpful (although at night we switched it off at the plug as it was a bit noisy). The bathroom had a walk in shower, which was very powerful and enjoyable after a day spent walking on the coastline. Our stay was in winter but the room and whole B&B was perfectly warm. The room was nice and quiet too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was no air conditioning but with high ceilings it may not be an issue in the summer. It was expensive for a B&B but we knew that in advance and chose to stay anyway because of the positive reviews. Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get what you expect. The hotel is situated on a hill so to obtain an evening meal we had to make a 25 minute walk down the hill into the town centre (but up the hill to get back afterwards). At this time of year there were not that many restaurants open but that cannot be blamed on the B&B - we chose to stay during the off-season.
