I called the week before our stay to explain I had my 15 month old grandaughter with me. The manager said there were fac

the stairs with a 15 month old and no baby facilities at all no safety for a baby low bathroom window was open when we were introduced to the room this was not highlighted by the manager

very old fashioned facilities no high chair for the baby bedclothes smelt as if they hadn’t been washed from previous occupant - no listing about facilities or breakfast times. was 5 mins late for breakfast the manager refused to give us our breakfast. I explained we had no indication of the breakfast times nor were we informed of the times

a guest house we intend to go back to in the near future

the breakfast was very good. The choice off the menu catered for all and the service was quick and staff very polite. The guest house was excellent value for money ,one of the best we have stayed at !

Exceptional

The Varley House is a little outside of town in a quiet neighborhood. Rod is an attentive host and has an outstanding service from the arrival to special requests, as I wanted to send extra luggage home. The shower was grand, the room is spotless and inviting. I'd definitely stay there again and can warmly recommend.

Gem of a B&B in Ilfracoombe

Gem B&B. Immaculate and everything well thought out! Best B&B I have stayed in. Lovely host, very helpful. Superb choice of food for breakfast. A plus for any Electric Car owners, 3 super fast chargers 3 minute walk away.

Nice hosts, on the ball with things, run a well kept and smart ship. Friendly and good recommendations of area. Very plentiful and tasty breakfast. Beautiful garden on front and decent parking options in area.

Nothing particular, would have been beneficial if Netflix or Iplayer was available to use as a guest on smart TV but nothing to worry about, just a nice option.

The property is a lovely traditional building. very well kept. our room was spacious, very clean. I had all the amenities I needed. staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was delicious. service was excellent and friendly.

Great B&B for a short stay, very helpful host and great breakfast.

Host was very helpful, couldn't have asked for better service. Breakfast was plentiful and great choice including pre requested gluten free bread

Decor quite old fashioned. Needed to drive to the harbour as quite a steep walk, but we knew that on booking.

Lovely place, good rates, friendly and hospitiable.

Room was really nice, everything we needed. Owner was very tentative and friendly.

Breakfast was only until 9am which we found a little early at the weekend.

Pleasant comfortable stay nice view from window and a very good breakfast.

Welcome extremely good, friendly and professional. Comfortable clean well thought out room.

Wifi not brilliant but to be fair was informed that this was the case for this room when I checked in. Wifi downstairs where there is a usable room is fine. To get to the main attractions of Ilfracombe it is a short car journey rather than a walk.

No complaints about the hotel and proprietors were friendly.

Breakfast was very good.

No chair or table near a mirror for when using hairdryer. The walk up the steep hill from the town/harbour area was not easy for an older person. This should be made clear in the online information

Very comfortable and clean. Easy to walk into Ilfracombe via the harbour side. A great base to explore from. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful.
