A really nice place to stay on Hydra. The room was comfortable with access to a shared balcony which was ideal to sit and have breakfast on or later in the day a beer after walking up and down the hilly island.
There is a larger yard below which is accessible through a different gate lower down the lane. It has a large outdoor dining table and small garden area with a lemon tree. A really pretty little area which we might have used if we had discovered it before our last day.
The shared balcony we had access to could have done with an extra chair as they were shared between rooms so you couldn't all sit out at the same time.

the terrace is nice but it lacks privacy since three rooms are sharing it.
the lack of privacy was not great. the balcony door leads to a lovely terrace but unfortunately the terrace is shared with two other rooms. and the bedroom window has view on a passage way leading to another room so i never felt i could keep my curtains open or the window and balcony door open so it felt dark. i would avoid room 3 if i ever stayed there again.
the mattress is very old or at least it felt this way and was not very comfortable.
the guesthouse is a tiny bit of a climb up, so it’s not very practical if you have luggage.
i wouldn’t say it was quiet either. you hear donkeys going down the steps early in the morning. then you get all the neighboring church bells and all the locals having loud conversations right outside your window.
so to sum it up if i look at location and amenities i would gave this place a 5/10. i think it’s a bit expensive for what and where it is.
