The location is absolutely beautiful. The resort is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by lush tropical greenery and right on the beachfront. We specifically wanted to stay somewhere away from the busier areas, and Aga was perfect for that. It’s also very close to Lalomanu, which was one of our favourite places in Samoa.
The staff were fantastic, incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, just like everyone we met throughout Samoa. Our room was great and the resort itself is beautiful.
We also really enjoyed the food. Lunch, snacks and dinner were all very good and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals.
The main thing missing for us was a little more atmosphere and things to do around the resort. Apart from snorkelling, there really aren’t many activities. Even something simple like soft lounge/tropical music around the pool during the day would make a big difference. At times the resort felt almost too quiet and lacked a little life.
Breakfast was also disappointing compared with the rest of the food. For a resort at around $300 per night, we expected a better breakfast selection. The included breakfast is quite basic and essentially allows you to choose one simple option from the menu. Considering how good the lunch and dinner food was, breakfast could definitely be improved.

The property is about an hour and a half from the airport. The staff organised a driver to pick us up and it was reasonably priced. They also helped us organise a hire car to be delivered the next day (the car company charge a delivery fee but no issues there). The location is very remote and would suit people looking to relax and get away from it all. Two pools and a rock pool as well as beach area on the lagoon so definately suitable for young children. The security guards helped get the kayaks into the water. The lagoon is marvellous. We don’t snorkel but lots of people snorkelling. Bring reef shoes. We were in the bungalow number one just over the bridge. Great air cons. Lovely deck. Excellent hot water and pressure. They have Starlinkso excellent wifi. I had the prawn salad each night for dinner and it was delectable. All the dinner food we chose was excellent. Lovely choice of wine. The incredible mountains were something to behold. I can’t imagine anyone not liking it here. You will need a car. The staff were quite lovely.
It is a bit tired looking. No food allowed in the room at all. We wanted to book massages but there was no masseuse for the four days we were staying! Milk choice was full cream or soy. White bread was toasted to within an inch of its life and inedible as hard as a rock. No other bread options.

Room was lovely and the staff are amazing. Owner seems miserable though. The lagoon is lovely and the hotel is in a beautiful setting with the mountain backdrop. Cocktails are good. Definitely the best spot to stay in Lalomanu.
There isn’t much atmosphere and no entertainment/music on a night so can be quite boring. The food is ok but not much variety if staying longer than a couple of days. It is far away from everything but there’s are a few things to do, would definitely recommend hiring a car and probably wouldn’t stay more than 3-4 days.

Some of staff were nice. Would have been a pretty setting in the sunshine. Close to the Sua Ocean Trench. Breakfast was good. We visited a local school which was a highlight.
The reception staff weren't overly helpful or accommodating. Zero vibe. I felt it was overpriced for the service and facilities. Super far away from the airport. We actually checked out a day earlier to stay at Samoa Beach Resort.
