It was exceptionally clean, beautiful, and relaxing.
They did not have an à la carte breakfast. I just wanted toast and coffee, but I would’ve had to purchase an entire buffet.

Best location, walking distance from all major attractions in Kobe. Real luxury, beautiful bedroom, top quality bed, sheets and bathroom. Amazing breakfast with gorgeous view. Parking on premises.

Historical property being the first hotel in Kobe around 1868. but modernized for the current time. Breakfast buffet is one of the top 5 we have experienced in Japan over the last 5 years. French toast and Eggs Benedict were excellent. Staff interactions could be improved but normal for Japanese standards.
Having to complete the guest check in information seemed redundant as the property had all the required information in advance with our direct booking.

The hotel decore and outlook was exceptional. The location very convenient to many things.
The room was luxurios and well appointed.
Breakfast buffet was exceptional
The bars and the view were wonderful
Coffee and (stale) bread with a view of sunrise was also much enjoyed, could have been enhanced with real breakfast.
Cocktails were ok.
The restaurant was Italian. Being an elderly diabetic, i had enough rice, pasta, bread and was after sashimi. but the staff didn't want to seat us in the dining room to eat it, and made a lot of fuss about it. My poor eyesight was not suited to the dim lighting in the bar.
I lost a linen shirt from my room that night too.
Also the light in the bathroom was very dim. An issue for me.
