Worked out great.

Excellent location and great breakfast. The garage close by worked out great. It is a very old historic building- but still a well functioning hotel. Nice staff.

aircon didn’t work and the Wi-Fi was limited…. but we didn’t need either, so no worries.

Essensen af Italiensk byliv.

Hotellet ligger i Mantova`s smukke historiske bymidte og kommer man der på en lørdag er byen fuld af liv i de smukke overdækkede søjlegange, med mange romantiske små restauranter.

En lidt uskøn udsigt fra værelset.

Posizione e vista!

Posizione impagabile, di fronte al duomo! Personale gentile, disponibile. Camera accogliente e pulita con vista su piazza Sordello. Con un bollitore, 3 tazze e qualche bustina di tè/tisana sarebbe stata una stanza perfetta, soprattutto contando che l'hotel non dispone di un servizio bar proprio, ma si appoggia ad un locale per la colazione.

Il servizio colazione (esterno all'hotel, se non ho capito male) andrebbe organizzato meglio: sembravano impreparati all'afflusso della domenica mattina. Colazione dalle 7 alle 10, siamo arrivati alle 9 ed erano finiti piatti, bicchieri, brioches ed il bricco di caffè americano è stato ripreparato solo dopo averlo chiesto 3 volte ed ormai erano passate le 9:30.

Wonderful location, exceptionally clean.

Wonderful location with a great view. Comfortable room, exceptionally clean. Helpful reception staff. Within walking distance of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. 15 minutes from railway station on foot.

Breakfast was poor. Served in the cafe, hotel guests have to have the coffee from the machine and not barista coffee from the counter. Many guests were baffled by this. Hot food was tepid and greasy.

Very central

Transport of the bottles and other staff in the corridor once a day. Lots of noise. Not possible to sleep during that issue in the misdle of the day.

Perfect Italian Experience

Excellent location, staff were very helpful and friendly. Different parking options as well which they helped with and we only paid 5 Euros for parking overnight. Overlooked a beautiful old square and 2 minute walk from local restaurants.

No negatives for us - would pick this Hotel again and Mantova is beautiful.

Right on the main piazza of Mantua, so a superb location. The room was spacious, with a lovely view of the piazza.

Beforehand you have to think about how to park your car, because the hotel is in the limited traffic zone. No problem, but be aware of it. The breakfast buffet was of average quality.

Great location

The location, right beside the ducal palace, couldn't be bettered. The room was compact, but sparkling, and the staff efficient.

One small gripe - the fridge in the room was right beside the bed - and it was a bit noisy during the night.

VERY pleasant placeto stay , and VERY conveniently situated. Nice, helpful staff.

Delightful position with a splendid view from our window of the piazza with the Palazzo Ducale and Cathedral It is very convenient to be able to take meals in the restaurant where one goes for breakfast in the morning , as part of the hotel deal. You pay for meals (lunch and dinner) separately, according to what you chose, but the food and view are both delightful. Warmly recommendedfrom every point of view.

This is the perfect place to stay in Mantova. I will always stay here on future visits.

The room was very spacious and with a wonderful view of the main square from this historic building. The location is superb, and very close to restaurants and the main attractions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It could not have been better.

Good for one night.

The breakfast was fine, but was repetitive every day. Staff was nice but very busy.

The noise in the hotel was terrible. It sounded as if water were running or there was some mechanical issue in the walls. The rooms were rather spartan. I think that added to the noise. All hard surfaces with no sound absorption. Disappointing.

They supplied a parking pass for the restricted area, which was really convenient.

The Gonzaga is a high quality 3 star Hotel, located right in the centre of Mantova and was ideal for my wife who had access to all the galleries and museums, as well as having quiet working time and perfect wi-fi. Breakfast was excellent and informal. Would I stay there again? Definitely

The hotel is perfectly located

The walls are very thin. Then, if your neighbour does not take care, you hear everything he does. That was unhappily our case the first night with an Italian family, strating srceaming and even singing as loud as possible from 7 30 AM!!

Perfect location, large room and extremely friendly staff!

The location is amazing, steps to the center of the centre. The room is large for a city center property and the bathroom is quite spacious. My experience was super, adding in the genuine friendliness of the staff.
