Angelats Hotel - A Signature Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

We had a wonderful stay at Angelats! Tucked away in the middle of nature and blissfully quiet, it's the kind of place where your shoulders drop about five minutes after you arrive. The room was clean and comfy, the bathroom is a little old-school but spotless, and being able to park right at the property is a small joy that any road-tripper will appreciate. The staff were absolute stars, warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant had its moments: some dishes were an enthusiastic "wow!" and others were more of a polite nod, so a bit of a mixed bag. But breakfast? Breakfast stole the show, served in a room with views so magnificent you'll forget to eat while you stare out the window. Bonus points for being right by the cremallera, making the trip up to Vall de Núria wonderfully easy. The only hiccup was the wifi, which had... opinions about working. But honestly? It became the perfect excuse to unplug, look up, and actually be on holiday. We'll be back, phones on airplane mode and all. :)

The most charming, lovely hotel in the beautiful Spanish mountains. Highlights included hikes in the surrounding woods and a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The cook to order breakfast was so good. The service was spectacular throughout our stay, and we especially appreciated Diego’s local suggestions and Carmen and Flora’s attention to details at meals.

The WiFi was pretty spotty even in the common areas, so if you’re hoping to work at all, beware. Better for couples than full families probably, but we had a lovely stay.

Amazing stay. The hotel has a very special atmosphere and a strong sense of history. The staff were incredibly welcoming — they not only checked us in, but also shared the story of the hotel and showed us around the property. The hotel is small and cozy (only 17 rooms), but there are beautiful common spaces where you can read, work, have tea, or simply enjoy the forest view. The location is perfect for relaxing walks and hiking nearby. The mountain water, the pool, and the breakfast restaurant were all fantastic. Overall, a very peaceful and memorable place with a unique vibe. We would love to come back.

Not really a negative, just something to keep in mind: the Wi-Fi can be unstable in some areas, and the rooms can feel a bit warm since there is no air conditioning. Opening the windows at night helped, though.

Nice quiet location, stylish old style function rooms, restaurant and bar. The food was very nice and of high quality, and the selection of the 'made to order' breakfast was very good. Very friendly and helpful staff that really made us feel welcome and understanding our needs and interests. Especially the receptionist, he is a great asset to the hotel, ver rememberable, in a positive way.

Cleaning basics were not performed. Room floor hoovering, dusting and washing of the floors in the rooms, and especially in the bathrooms, have not been done for a long time. Insect infestation must be prioritised to make guests feel relaxed in their rooms and in the rest of the property.
