We had a good stay at Case Osti, close to Bologna. We stayed one night, just to end our 3 week trip near the airport of Bologna and with a lovely pool. Checkin was easy and we got own keys by Staff and 10 minutes later already at the pool.You have a bus stop right in front of the house, but we arrived by car and therefor decided to grab some pizza in Bologna by car.

Very clean, neat and new. Good location for people, who want to leave to the airport early in the morning. It only takes 15 minutes to Bologna airport.

Maybe a bit too much technology without instructions. Couldn’t for instance turn the shower on - it was complicated and confusing. And the lights whith a remote controlling system - there was one light which turned on, when neighbour from upstairs at 2:00 a.m. pushed a his/her remote controller button in the kitchen. And one thing is potentially very dangerous and forbidden in finland: You should have the possibility to open the outdoors and gates from inside without a key. If you have fire in the room, you can’t escape from it whithout a key.

Very nice house and room. Clean. Safe parkingplace. Access to the kitchen with cafe and tea all time. Nice garden and easy access to the City of Bologna. Bus just outside the gate.

Noise from the trafic outside. That depends of cause on witch room you get.

B&B Case Osti has great reviews on both TripAdvisor and Booking.com, which is one reason why I booked it. Proximity to the Bologna airport was the other. While it does lie close to the airport, I cannot understand why the review praise it so highly because our experience was anything but praiseworthy. First, we had difficulty finding the hotel because there was no sign on the street identifying it. We did have help from our GPS, but it said that we had arrived at our destination when there was no evidence of the hotel. When we mentioned it to the young woman who checked us in, she said that lots of other people had no such difficulties. Maybe so, but not a good way to welcome guests who had experienced such a problem. She also pointed out how the name of the hotel appeared near the gate on a small metal plaque that one could only read if close up, and this was presented as an example of how there was adequate signage. Later we spoke with a woman who owns the hotel, and she said that she didn’t put a sign out because she didn’t want people knocking on the door looking for a place to stay. After check in we were taken to our room, which was in an annex that was outside the main complex and reminded me more of a cheap motel than what the photos on the websites represented. There was an ashtray overflowing with cigarette butts, but unlike a motel, the parking spaces near the rooms were not available to guests. Instead we had to park behind the closed gate, which was more secure but necessitated that we move our luggage a fair distance. Because of the location we needed to use three keys to gain entry to the room. In total the key ring contained seven keys, all of which we needed during our stay. The room itself was small but adequate for our one-night stay before flying out. In fairness it was clean, and the bathroom looked quite nice. The kitchenette was in the hall and was sparsely furnished.

My partner and I have been staying 10 nights in this wonderful place. The landlords are welcoming and adorable. The pool and garden are spacious. The location is also perfect as very close to the center of Bologne. Very good quality for the price. We will definitely come back!

Easy links to Bologna, beautiful pool, clean rooms, gorgeous setting. It was very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Approx €15 taxi to Bologna centre and one bus an hour until around 8pm for €1.50. Note that some buses only take cash, others only card which was a little confusing so be prepared for both options. No ATMs nearby so get cash before.

Staff were quite abrupt about leaving after checkout and we were unable to stay in the communal areas after checkout. We were told we only paid for the evening and could not use the pool for two days as we had not paid. We had been staying for a few days before and did not realise it may be a problem when it was quiet.At that point there were only 4 other guests in the area and all the beds were free. We would have happily paid for a day pass but we were told we must leave at that point and check out was 11am so that's when you leave. A member of staff had helped us book a taxi for the afternoon so we did not realise it was an issue to stay when there were so few guests at the time. Other than the ending, we loved our stay.
