Location was great. 10minute walk to the train to cork.
Room was cosy and clean. Great shower. Nice tea making facilities.
Breakfast was varied and filling.
Guest house was clean and quiet.
We were very much given the cold shoulder by the owner when leaving because apparently there is a box to tick when booking if you are bringing a pet. Unfortunately this does not exist on booking.com which I booked through. I had the 'pets allowed' filter on when looking for a place to book and since there was nothing further written on the description of the townhouse about contacting the property about bringing pets I went ahead and booked it. Maybe this is different on their own dedicated website but I did not book through that or even look at their own site.
Upon arrival the first thing I said to the man at reception (who was helpful and welcoming) was that I had two dogs and his response was 'That's no problem at all, as long as they are ok with stairs'. So as far as we knew it was all good. We loved the cosy room as did our two dogs and everything was perfect. We would have left a 5 star review had it not been for the cold farewell we received from the lady in charge for staying in a 'non pet friendly' room. Frankly, it was abit short sighted to be sour with us when it was clearly an administration problem on their side. We had planned to stay again as we go to cork jazz every year and have stayed in Midleton many times but will probably not book here as we were made feel very unwelcome by the end which is a pity.

Super big rooms, very friendly, accomodating and welcoming staff. Lots of convenient parking. Continental breakfast was really well stocked.
