Lovely staff and lovely little Hotel.
I am an Accor Platinum member so usually exclusively book Accor Hotels, like Ibis and Sofitel. However, this hotel came up much cheaper than Accor alternatives with my membership discount, so gave it a crack. Glad I did as it was worth the savings. 'Normal" to big size rooms for Japan, it had everything required.
Reception is on the 2nd floor, with the staff nice and friendly with good English. Plenty of umbrellas and toiletries available.
Old skool keys to room which is nice. Rooms were clean and had all the Japanese amenities, including the best toilets in the world.
I really liked the 4 welcome drinks, which again is more than Accor, who would one give me one, even with 4 guests. The Sake and Red wine was really good.
Only negative for me was the location as its a solid walk to the nearest train. Even the nearest bus stop seemed 'far' for Kyoto and Japan. But you get what you pay for and I am sure the fact it rained everyday, made it feel further. Still well worth the stay.

Breakfast was nice but limited options. No laundry facilities but plenty nearby. Very noisy from road noise ( motorbikes, emergency sirens) although hotel itself was quiet and calm. We did sleep through it
