Very nice rooms to stay and to explore the cloud forest reserve

Very friendly and helpful staff, close to the cloud forest entrance by public bus, very good restaurants in walking distance.

Beautiful views and lovely stay

This was one of the best places i stayed in Costa Rica . The rooms were clean and very comfortable, hot water and an incredible view/sunset. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was great . Would definitely come back.

Exceptional

The gentleman at the reception helped me out with many things....he really saved my ass one night when the tail wouldn't come to pick me up at 11pm...and it was very windy...and a steep climb...and he send a friend to pick me up....amazing guy...really helpful...and the view....amaaaazing.

Great value and excellent service

Our cabana was spacious, clean and had a spectacular view. The owner, Jose, could not have been more helpful. He scheduled all our tours within moments of the request, and was a super nice guy. His sister Roxana cooks the included breakfast. Nice, small, Costa Rica owned business.

cute cabin in the perfect location

Perfect location! my family and I stayed here without a car and Jose was so helpful in getting us booked with excursions that had a free shuttle that came right to the lodge. Jose is always available and ready to help. the view is absolutely stunning and there are restaurants and a store within a 5 minute walk.

I will come back for sure and I will spread the word

The simplicity and kindness of Jose. His initiative to offer us a better room (we were 3). His knowledge of sites and activities to do and his generosity to help with reservations. His advice for good place to eat. The environment around the rooms, clean, simple, nature. Same that if I was at home, with the bonus of a good breakfast served directly to the room, with 3 choices of menus. Thank you so much to your mom. FANTASTIC. I love nature and I was in heaven with this beautiful rainbow at 7.00 am. SO CALM.

Maybe having some napkins or any tissues in the kitchen area. Always cool to have some.

Gorgeius view, great host, delicious breakfast, comfortable clean beds and walking distance to restaurants and a little

Jose the proprietor was super nice and helpful! Birds everywhere. walking distance to restaurants and Catarata waterfall (gorgeous hike! highly recommend).

Occasionally a little noise from road but would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely quiet place to stay with stunning views

Beautiful view, comfortable rooms and Jose was very attentive and helpful. It was quiet and very relaxing. Excellent traditional breakfast every day.

The location was slightly out of the way. But with a hire car it wasn't a problem. One of the rooms had a coffee machine but the other didn't.

Beautiful view from the lodge.

No hot water, very cold at night and the cabins are old with thin walls, so you hear the wind making noise at night.

good start to my trip is Costa Rica , awesome hospitality

awesome owner , very helpful. so easy to book yours with him. everything just works . he is always available on watsapp so any questions he will answer. i had a memorable stay

room is slightly cold so make sure u have like a nice pyjama .

Great for a few nights.

The views were amazing. The room was clean and comfortable and the beds were great. The breakfast was ok, and the owner was very helpful with anything we asked of him.

We couldn’t get any hot water from the shower so be prepared for a cold one! Nothing to do with the property really, but it was very windy (unseasonably so).

Great stay for the price! Superb hospitality!

The breakfasts were homemade by the family who run the lodge and they were quite tasty. Jose' was very helpful and accommodating and suggested some superb out trips for us. We loved that the location was near many attractions at Monteverde and we took adavantage of many of them. We would happily stay at Bella Vista again on our next trip to Costa Rica!

The only thing we didn't love was the water temperature in the shower. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't 'hot'. It loomed somewhere in the tepid to warm range. The lodge is on a hill with cool temps outside and very windy so the cool water was a lttle "Brrrr!" for us. Still, we loved this place and the fact that we got the entire 'mini-house' to ourselves.

exceptional customer service

cannot fault this place. Ideally located just outside Santa elena so nice and quiet but walkable to sodas, shops and restaurants. Very cheap for 5 minute taxi to centre of town (1500 colones). View from the lodges is outstanding. The rooms are nice and clean and there’s seating outside to enjoy the view or watch sunset. Great breakfast delivery to your room included. Best thing about this place is the customer service which is second to none! Jose goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. He organises trips for you, sorts taxis and he even rang round town to retrieve my glasses that I lost and delivered them to my door! Near to cloud forest reserve and monteverde waterfall, and free shuttles to zip lining etc arranged by Jose. If staying in Monteverde this is the place to stay!!

beautiful and comfortable lodge wirh great views!!

the location is perfect, the view from the lodge was amazing! we were there for new years eve and there was a nice little concert organized. it was our honeymoon and we had a super adorable gift when we arrived, we felt very welcome it was so so nice!

the hit shower was a little tricky to make work

Well located, close to many restaurants and a great view by the lodge. The manager is really supportive and this was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place.
