Location is great, beds super comfortable. Beds and surfaces clean, would not touch the floor with my bare skin. Someone urinated in the bath instead of the toilet and it was there for at least 5 hours but that's the gross patrons fault not the hotels. Maybe a check of the bathrooms every 2 hrs or so would prevent this.
I have stayed here before and not have a problem but this time my room constantly smelled of cigarette smoke and the room I was in this time was directly above the pokies so maybe somehow it was getting in to this side of the building.

I did not have breakfast. The location to the train could not be better.
Unfortunately there is no lift so I needed to wait until a suitable staff menber turned up around 10.00 am to carry my suitcase down the stairs.

The room was good enough - large tv, dark curtains; aircon was great, bed had 4 pillows and was comfy enough (stock-standard sheets), high-speed internet; had a small bar fridge. Given 2 towels with shampoo, conditioner, and a small block of soap daily. Both sides of the bed had a free powerpoint and a lamp. Shared bathrooms have been newly renovated and were cleaned daily. Water pressure was fine, with both a rain showerhead and a hand-held showerhead. The rooms were completely separate from the pub with their own entry/exit. Location to the train station and Mall/Shopping centre was brilliant.
As other reviewers have stated, the evenings would make the hallways smell of stale cigarette smoke from the pub (it is a pub, so what else to be expected); Could've done with a shelf/bench in the shower cubicles, as there were only a couple of hanging hooks, so if you can't hang it, it needs to be put on the floor. Shower design also meant that water can be splashed easily. Ceilings had insects and webs.

The room was nice and the bed very comfy, a bit noisy around closing time but to be expected. The location is brilliant, close to trains and buses.
