This was a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Our suite was clean, light and airy and it was beautifully furnished. The breakfast was varied, but I recommend letting them know in advance if you need gluten-free food. The breakfast room itself was spacious, with a seating area outside. It was a 15-minute walk to the centre of Garmish with its pretty pedestrian area full of shops, restaurants, and cafes. It is also a good place to start your walk to the Olympic Skistadium and then the Partnach Gorge. The local buses are free with the guest card given electronically by the hotel.
There was no air conditioning or tea and coffee facilities in the room, which I didn't notice when booking (my fault).

Room badly designed. Continually hitting our head on steeply angled walls. 3 flights of stairs with no elevator.
Morose atmosphere.
