Everything was amazing, the food, the staff, The room.I have no complaints. It was the best place I have stayed at, made me feel like home and was a positive experience.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, from the pro-active call prior to arrival, to the very very friendly welcome, a nice and clean room that could be heated properly if wanted, large bed, the nook with a desk and view straight into Mt Taranaki (when visible - we were lucky enough to be able to), a nice bathroom with a large spa bath. we had dinner on site on one night with their brand new menu - and it was fantastic!! Way beyond what I had expected, tasty, good portions, attention to detail in the recipes and the presentation.
Joanne was very much looking after us, and she and the team made us feel genuinely welcome.
The location as such is amazing, peaceful and quiet, surrounded by the fascinating native dense forest, with walking tracks as short as 15mins and as ling as you like starting right at the lodge.
Overall, we genuinely enjoyed our 3 nights at the lodge, and can highly recommend it.
I’m all in for constructive feedback; but there was nothing I would have wanted any other way.
