Friendly welcoming staff and a nice comfortable first night stay on our Coast to Coast stay with the start a few metres away

Very comfortable and clean. Great location for us as starting Coast to Coast next day. Staff were lovely and food was good.

Breakfast was ok, had to wait a while for the omelette, the staff seemed to be rushing everything The second morning, they told us that the avocado had run out. Limited choice at the buffet, no fresh fruit etc

There was a musty damp smell throughout the building, probably the carpets, The hotel could do with a refurbishment
