st bees is a lovely coastal town. lulus is fine for short stay

it had a comfortable bed. the manager was very polite and helpful. there is only continental breakfast but you can cook your own eggs or heat bake beans. there was fresh fruit .

it is next to the station. it is the original station master home. the train feels like it comes into your room it is that close.

Friendly welcome, comfortable room, lovely continental breakfast with lots of choice. Very close to the railway but the trains stop running during the night.

TV quite small - ok for watching but difficult to read the TV guide.

Super friendly host, charming building

Fab little place and the setting at the station is really charming. There aren’t many trains so it’s not a noise issue.

Genuinely can’t think of anything, really liked it.

would recommend 100% so warm welcoming friendly Louise was amazing and a lovely hostess

it was cosy and a very warm homey feeling. it was super clean and tidy and very welcoming.

I can’t actually say there was anything that we did not like during our stay.

Excellent stay, friendly, clean with everything you will need.

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming. Tea making facilities really good, plenty of tea and coffee and even a fridge with real milk not uht. There was also orange in the fridge and a bag of ice cubes in the freezer. I don’t think there was anything they hadn’t thought about. Everything was very clean and well thought out.

The stairs are very steep, especially when wearing motorcycle gear. I would of like some more security or a better place to park the motorbikes, we ended up chaining them together in a car park space on the side of the property next to the main road.

It s been amazing stay and loved the natural beauty of the Lake district 👍

We stayed as family at Lulu's for 2 nights and had the best experience of Lake district trip this time. Our rooms are so clean and comfy. Louise has provided variety of cereals, bread, eggs, milk, juices, which is unexpected and we all enjoyed the hassle free breakfast just like home :) Additionally, she has given presents to my children. She is very friendly and amazing lady. There are children's play area as well at the front garden. It s really handy and safe to leave kids to play and you can have peaceful cuppa on your own :) The property is just next to the train station and only a few mins walking distance from the Beach-St. Bees Head. Whole view is amazing. You can then drive easily to Wasdale or other adjacent areas for extra activities.

As the property located right next to the train station, it could be a little bit noisy to some people. I woke up many times first night but then fine. We been out all the time plus weather was good so it s Ok. If you are travelling with young children, best to pack some warm closes and an extra blanket if you can. I didn't ask, but may be Louise would have given extras too. There are little electric heaters in the rooms. As it s carpeted so I didnt use it for safety concerns at night. However, nothing else to worry about staying at Lulu's. You will be treated with respect and kindness at all times.

Perfect location for a chilled out weekend with friends.

The breakfast was a bonus. We were also just a ten minute walk to the beach, and right next to the station platform for a trip through to Whitehaven.

A really enjoyable short break, we are looking forward to returning.

The location was perfect - arriving by train it was a very good place to be & the walk to the beach was an easy km. We like the casual arrangement for breakfast, that worked for us. Lulu was really helpful letting us drop our bags off early.

Nothing really - we liked the noise of the trains & the steepish stairs were not an issue for us but might be for othetes.

A lovely room in the loft of the old railway station.

Breakfast, not expected was excellent. Lulu was very helpful, friendly and happy to help in any way.

Perfect weekend away!

Lulu's is the old station house, right on platform 1 of St Bees railway station. It's a lovely, quirky building, run by an equally lovely team who made us feel very welcome! Complimentary self-serve continental breakfast was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Very homely feel, will certainly be back!

St Bees is an ideal base for the Eastern lake-district, and is so quiet and uncrowded.

Very nice choice of Continental style breakfast, taken as early as you liked.

Exceptional

The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a big plus with wide variety of cereals and Jams. It is right next to railway station so location is perfect.The host was also very friendly.
