Studios At Glenthorne

Lovely studio apartment with everything you could need for a short stay, nicely furnished and decorated. Great to have your own bathroom and kitchen rather than a shared one. Nice touch having Welsh cakes and fresh milk for a much-needed cup of tea after a day exploring 'Waterfall Country'. Being able to use the drive to unload and load the car was handy. Didn't need to contact the owner during our stay but the instructions prior to our arrival and the welcome pack with more information were very handy. Excellent location. All in all, a great stay!

The bed was a little softer than we are used to, but that is just personal preference! The room we had was downstairs next to the front door, so if you are in you can hear people coming and going, ringing doorbell etc - again, this is just a minor 'inconvenience'. Earplugs were provided should you wish to use them.

Everything was perfect. Amenities and freebies exceeded my humble expectations, which is great! :)

Nothing major. Yes, it is not immediate city center, but that is obvious from the map. Besides that sound proofing between rooms was not ideal, but not a problem for me personally.

It had a very welcoming atmosphere, it was clean, the studio had everything we needed and it was very easy to check in. Close enough to local amenities and just a walk away from the town centre. I should have taken pictures but I was too excited and didn’t 🥲

Location as it’s 3 minutes drive to town. The complementary Welsh cakes was a nice touch.

It was cold inside the flat, even texted twice asking for the radiators to be turned on and when the heating came on it was still cold. The radiator was on max but you could put your hand on top of it for hours and it was still Luke warm at best. No interaction with the property owners what’s so ever which was a shame. If you have the downstairs flat be aware of the flat above as you basically get up when they get up, all the walking around above us was annoying. Parking could be an issue if you have mobility issues as you have to hope you can park on the main road at best which is a steep hill.
