We just got back from an incredible stay at Mundo Milo Lodge and are already dreaming about our next visit. Nestled in the jungle, it’s about a five minute walk to a beautiful, quiet beach that’s perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and just a little further up you can snorkel around the rocky reef at Playa Blanca where you will spot tons of colorful fish. Hang out a bit to watch a magnificent sunset over the water.
The 7 private bungalows are beautiful — spacious, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed (some with air-conditioning if you want it). The pool is a perfect spot to cool off between adventures, and having a restaurant and bar right on site makes everything easy. The food was fresh and delicious every single time.
What really made this trip special was the people. Lieke and Michael, the owners, are down to earth and incredibly kind. Lieke made us feel like friends within just a few days and was an integral part of planning our adventures. The lodge provided snorkeling gear and Lieke even drove us up to the snorkel beach; later that day she also arranged a kayak tour through a nearby mangrove estuary for us. She can also set up a private van from the airport for a very competitive rate — we’d highly recommend the driver, Milton, who took great care of us. Marisol and Berta serve up delicious fresh-cooked meals, and Adriana’s piña coladas made with fresh pineapple are the best we’ve had and are always served with the warmest, most genuine smile.
This place is a true gem — beautiful, peaceful, and run by people who clearly care. We can’t wait to come back!
May not be the right place for somebody who is looking for a touristy hang-out with resort crowds.

The location gave us easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit, the property was peaceful and beautiful, and the owners were beyond kind, helpful, and welcoming. We won't stay anywhere else when we visit again.

The lodge is beautiful, 5 min car or walking from beautiful beaches.
The room was great, super clean and with a little kitchen.
The owners welcomed us like friends, were super kind and we had a great time.
For breakfast we had the best pancakes ever, and it was abundant and delicious. The restaurant offer great food and I appreciated to just walk out of my room to have dinner.
We hope to be back and visit again soon.

Magical place nestled in the woods a short distance from the beach. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Owners were very welcoming and accommodating, and helped us figure out our activities. Food was excellent and they were able to meet out dietary restrictions due to multiple allergies . All in all a super find!
We had to leave at the end of our stay.
