The place is excellent but the rooms require urgent upgradation as the furnitures, bed sheets, blankets look run down.Room Service was poor.Cottage Rooms require door mats specially during rainy season.Solar Hot Water is not effective during monsoon.You must add geysers.

Location was good, Rooms were clean. The staff was humle and service was fast. It had nice pool, restaurant with good view and play area for kids.
Deluxe room are nice but windows don't open to the mountain view, which was disappointing. Cottage had nice mountain view. The planning of room would have been better, if every room had some open view with windows. Food was bit on the higer price. Although it is little justified given the location and difficulty to arrange items, but still can be a little less pricey. It is better to book half board or full board meals along with room.
Also the birds kept here, improvement can be done if given more open area and hygenic area.

The location is probably the only USP for Upper Deck.
The property looks very old. Though the rooms are big, they are not maintained well. The swimming pool had lot of lose tiles and ill maintained. The restaurant was extremely basic. Not what is expected from such a premium property after charging premium prices.
