We were picked up at church in Hornillos very quickly (10 minutes?), shuttled in van to Hotel (5 minutes away) and had a great room with great meals/drinks at Hotel.

The property was fine. There were only two other guests and literally nothing else to do in the town, but it’s July so I understand not much happens in the heat.
I walked the Camino from Burgos to Hornillos. After completing the stage around lunchtime I stopped for a beer with other pilgrims. We were having a good time talking and laughing. The pilgrim meal in Isar isn’t served until 7pm so I really had no reason to go there for many hours. I’d much rather have stayed talking with my friends.
I got a phone call from an angry sounding man in Spanish demanding I confirm my name and give him my whereabouts. He said he was coming to get me. This is about 2pm. I was confused because I had not requested a lift or made any agreement about what time I’d get to the accommodation.
I asked a Spanish speaking friend to call the number back, which he did. But he couldn’t get any explanation except that the man was coming to pick me up. He was there three minutes later and I was stuck in Isar for the rest of the afternoon and evening because it was too hot to walk back. I still don’t understand what happened.
