The distance to downtown is great! There is a bus stop not too far away and it was very clean. Check in was very easy when looking at the board. Great stay!
As other reviews have mentioned, it's very easy to hear when people use the common room and the bathroom.

Great location, staff (Olga) was helpful in communicating. Bed was comfortable.
This is a very no frills place to crash. There is NO staff at the property. If you’re ok with that and you’re looking for something slightly better than a hostel, this is for you. If you want/need someone to check you in, help plan your activities in Reykjavík, arrange taxis, etc go with a proper hotel instead. Also, the water smells like sulphur/slightly rotten eggs. Maybe this is a Reykjavík thing, but a nice long shower after a transatlantic flight isn’t happening here.
