Central Reykjavik location; overpriced; full breakfast buffet; vertical property, but there is an elevator; room small but bed comfortable; no AC but mostly not needed.

Staff and property lovely. Great location, but we stayed on Saturday night and there was a huge street party until 5 am. Be forewarned. Otherwise, highly recommend.

I stayed at this hotel twice during my two weeks in Reykjavik at the end of May and in early June. I had stayed at a different (a little higher end) Center Hotel last year and really like them so stayed again this year, trying another of their brand. Everything was fine, friendly and helpful staff, okay breakfast, very convenient for walking around Reykjavik. Only a block from the gelato shop and bars and restaurants, easy walk to Bus stop#6 to catch the day tours and the Flybus. I was very happy with my stay.

Communication before our visit was excellent and staff were always helpful. Staff were welcoming on arrival, helping us store our bags (we arrived very early in the morning). Check-in later in the day was efficient and again staff welcoming and interested in our day. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had to leave very early so didn't try breakfast. In terms of position, it's perfect - lots of shops, cafes and bars right outside. As well as a large supermarket (Kronan) about 3 minutes walk away. A number of buses run from just a street away. If you are independent travellers who like to try cafes for breakfast and different restaurants in the evening then I'd highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay again.
