The refurbishment has been executed sympathetically with an appreciation of Fred Ward's furniture design. The rooms are simply furnished in a mid century style that suits Ward's furniture. I would not hesitate to return and have highly recommended to friends. It is such a pleasant change from a hotel room and in a convenient location on the ANU campus and a 10 minute walk to Civic and Acton

Interesting architecture. Very Canberra. We enjoyed gre regular magpie in the central garden.
Beds -single a little short. Room is not luxurious but comfortable.

The reflection pool and gardens. The cafe onsite.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean.
The bathroom had a chemical smell that went through to the bedroom. The room was very hot given the bedding was a thick quilt. The room didn’t have the lovely 50’s feel I was expecting.
