De grote van de kamer
Het restaurant was 2 dagen achter elkaar gesloten en het ontbijtbuffet viel tegen,weinig keus of het was al op. Er lag nog 1 ei 1 plakje zalm,paar plakjes kaas,geen toast of crackers. Ik ben hier eerder geweest en toen was het een stuk beter en was de eigenaar ook een stuk vriendelijker. Je betaald een beste prijs voor de kamer 152,00 dan mag het wel wat vriendelijker. We vroegen of hier mischien vroeger een baron of barones heeft gewoont en kreeg als antw nee is altijd in particuliere handen geweest en liep daarna gewoon weg.Ook vader lief was een beetje kortaf toen we zeiden dat we ergens anders hadden gegeten dan wat hij ons had aangeraden. Ik wou hier weer heen omdat het de eerste keer super goed was maar denk niet dat ik hier weer terug kom. Jammer....

We travel through Germany quite often and, to be completely honest, we have learned to lower our expectations when it comes to hotels. This place was therefore an absolutely wonderful surprise.
It is exceptional in every sense. It has real soul and character, a beautiful atmosphere, thoughtful decoration and so many little details that make you feel genuinely welcome. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were lovely, attentive and extremely responsive whenever we contacted them.
Most importantly, this is one of those rare places you actually don’t want to leave. We came for just one night while travelling through the area and ended up wondering why we were only passing through — and whether next time we should simply spend part of our holiday here.
A truly special place, and definitely one we would love to return to.
There are really only two things we would change.
First, a 10 a.m. check-out feels unnecessarily early, especially for a hotel of this standard and atmosphere. When you enjoy a place this much, being expected to leave at 10 feels even more frustrating.
Second, the €30 fee for a dog seems excessive. We are very happy to pay a reasonable supplement when travelling with our dog, but €30 represents almost 20% of the price of the night. At that level, it is difficult to reconcile the charge with the idea of being genuinely dog-friendly.
Apart from these two points, our stay was excellent.

Breakfast just OK ,not excessive, parking easy around the park
restaurant closed (coronavirus),no alternative proposed, ordered a drink but had to pick it myself on the other side of the park, very very cold hotel house and room.. certainly very nice in summer when restaurant open as it is isolated in the woods,no safe,very few amenities (just one shower gel and body cream), no minibar,no way to call the reception . Dedicated also for receptions and celebrations ,maybe not pleasant for other guests
