This house was built in 1082 and is part of Venetian history being owned and occupied by merchants and nobility. The history is rich and interesting and you can practically see the memories held within the walls. The location is top notch for the price, but you can still enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The owners/operators are a lovely, elderly Italian couple whose family has owned the house for generations. Elenora gives you a thorough tour when you arrive. I wish I understood Italian as I am sure she has so many interesting stories about the place.
Being so close to the canal and having a fountain directly below, when you open the window you open yourself up to the mosquitos. The place is old and has all the issues that comes with an old house, some dust, vaulted ceilings that can make temperature control difficult. The mattress was a bit conclave on one side from where people sit on the side of the bed. It might not be luxury but it felt like I was stay with my grandma and the personality makes up for the shortcomings.

Es una experiencia muy italiana, los abuelitos encargados del hotel son historia andante fue magnífico poder tener una conversación con ellos y que nos contaran la historia de su palacio veneciano, definitivamente es un tema de respeto y apreciación a la cultura del lugar. Eso si tienes que saber italiano o frances para poder comunicarte con ellos lo que me parece completamente lícito, estas en su ciudad LEARN OR DONT TRAVEL. El baño estaba muy limpio, la habitación igual, la cama muy comoda y la neverita y microondas nos salvo la vida

It definitely has a vibe. A lot of vibe. Amazing historical place.
Ac had to be paid extra. The shower could use some scrubbing. Breakfast was included in the price but it was very basic.

Location was brilliant, we loved being in that area. Lots going on and things to do and places to eat and drink wherever we wondered.
We had to leave the keys at the property when leaving, so the staff had access to our room through out the day. No one speaks any English so was hard to decipher what anyone was saying.
