Rosy and Massimo are superb hosts and great communicators - despite a minor language barrier due to my poor Italian! They chatted via whatsapp before and during our travel to coordinate arrival times and make sure we got to the right spot and so we felt we had 'met' them even before we arrived. The location is like a film set - steep tumbledown houses set into a hillside joined by narrow paths and alleyways. Very atmospheric and very safe, all the neighbours know each other and even tourists/guests are greeted with friendliness throughout the community. I don't believe this is a heavily visited small village, which was perfect for what we wanted... a quieter place with a little authenticity. The property is cosy, comfy and has every facility you would need to self-cater, including snacks and kitchen/store-cupboard staples thoughtfully provided by the hosts. Though the plentiful and varied breakfast supplied to the room on trays each morning by Rosy was more than enough to get us through until dinner! The mokka-pot coffee was particularly superb. 🙂
Very few downsides - the uneven ground leading toward the property may be challenging for those with mobility issues? Nearest parking is 50m away. Even then, grabrails are where you would expect them and at night the area is safe and well lit. Otherwise, no criticisms necessary.
