The location was fantastic, very quiet and private, the outdoor space was excellent (we had great weather which helped) the property was clean and functional, storage heaters kept the property temperature comfortable, provision of toiletries, bedding and towels was good. Although a pay coin electric meter was installed, the property was very economical, (we used £4 in a week) the views from the kitchen window were nice.
The stairs were a little steep, (this was mentioned in the description) but in keeping with the character of the property, the décor was a bit tired but again in keeping with the cottage feel, the kitchen utensils were a little basic but functional (we enjoy cooking so not a real criticism)

Clean, peaceful and private pet friendly cottage that is in a good location for exploring the peak district either by car or by public transport. Easy communication with owners regarding directions and key collection. Decent pub within walking distance! Lots of wildlife.
Although very clean sadly the cottage is a little outdated and it was not easy to relax in during the evenings after being out all day , it also smelt damp. Outside in the garden there were holes in the ground which could be a trip hazard for younger children exploring.
