Fairly close to Matera so convenient for a visit. Room we had was large although a little plain. Decent breakfast in a lovely courtyard setting. Very nice pool area which was clean and tidy.
Located on the outskirts of an industrial area although this doesn't really impact on the experience. We were given a room in the building near the gate. It was spacious but a little plain. When we arrived a group of french tourists had taken over the patio area which initially made opening the patio door difficult. So there was no outside seating left free. Gave up trying to figure out how the coffee machine worked.

The property, like the old towny of Matera, catches you by surprise. Story like entrance, with a spacious parking and sizable rooms. Everyone was very helpful and hospitable. We wish we had more time here. Highly recommend to book this place.

The pool, the grounds
I think that the property is nice but it is poorly managed. The staff is a bit rough when you check in. The room lacks basic amenities lice enough outlets to charge your devices. There are no shelves at all or drawers to put your clothes. There is no closet and no safe deposit box. In a Sunday afternoon they open the pool and grounds for people that were not guest of the hotel makeing it very crowded and noisy. I didn’t have the chance to get a lounge chair by the pool. It was imposible to relax there and that was the main reason I book a lace to stay outside the historic town. It’s a shame because with a different attitude from management and certain easy improvements for guests comfort the place would have potential to be a very nice place to stay but not as it is right now.
