We reserved a private room with 4 bunks. The reception lady gave us an 8-bunk room so we could all have a bottom bunk. Awesome! Big balcony overlooking the street. Shared bathroom right outside our room. 5-minute walk to the burger restaurant where we ate dinner (across the roundabout from the cathedral).
We felt the cost of laundry was too high & you aren't allowed to wash clothes in the bathroom, so we decided to hike in our dirty clothes the next day. It was fine--we had out clothes cleaned at our next hostel.

Perfectly fine for if you are a normal tourist, clean and modern, secure, lady who worked the front desk was very nice
NOT GOOD FOR PILGRIMS. No place to drop your bag, got snapped at and a member of staff was very rude when I went it to try to ask. It’s not unreasonable to want to leave a bag at an accommodation and I’ve never had a member of hospitality staff be so rude to me, and so aggressive, and I have stayed in many many places all round the world. (This is one person, the other staff member I met later was fantastic). Also they say you are not able to do laundry unless you have a big group and a huge load to do, but you also aren’t allowed to do laundry in the sinks. When you have been walking for hours in the heat you want to wash your clothes before the next day. Also not close to the path, adds and extra bit of time in the morning to rejoin. If you’re just a normal tourist it’s a lovely modern and nice place to stay (but don’t try to drop your bags early!) but I would avoid if you are a pilgrim
