Well adorned and maintained. The food was exceptional, and it is perfect for anyone who has never had an onsen experience or ichihaku nishoku. The location is also perfect if you like a morning stroll in the Nara park. Also, it is next to Tengyokudo Nara Main Store, which specialises in Arrowroot cuisine, a plant native to Japan and China.
A little hard to get there by public transport.

Location is perfect. We arrived before check-in time and the staff was very helpful so we could park our car and leave our luggage.
Public bath was very good. I recommend to use the ones in the second (Annex) building which are on a high floor.
We absolutely enjoyed the walking tour that the staff arranged for us.
Diner was a bit disappointing - the whole "Kaiseki" was already laid out on the table when we arrived.
