Loved the location beside the Deer Park. Great to have our own kitchen so we enjoyed a feast bought from the great supermarket at Nara Station. Friendly helpful staff and so cool to see the deer right outside our window. Deer crackers can be bought from the shop opposite. Take note of the closing time to the entrance of the hill for sunset viewing. We missed out by being 5 minutes late. Easier to catch a taxi to this hotel. Handy to have a washing machine and using the fantastic drying system for laundry in the bathroom.
The aircon didn’t reach around to the bedroom so a fan would have been helpful.

One of the most interesting stays in Japan. I love waking up to the deers wandering around the inn when we wake up in the morning. The staff is extremely helpful, the room is clean, cooking is easy with the availability of some basic cooking ingredients. I like the idea of drying the clothes in the heated bathroom after washing them in the washing machine, even the detergent is provided.
The bed is slightly soft. The sofa bed was more comfortable than expected.
Be prepared to walk about 10 minutes from the nearest bus stop to your room/hostel.
No lifts available, will need to carry your suitcase up the stairs.

Very nice atmosphere and design. Simple yet cosy and welcoming. Loved the sleeping alcove.
The mattress on my side was lumpy with a pretty deep dip in the mattress and I mean deep an visible. Mu back was sore after two nights.

Location is exceptionally good if visiting Nara Park, as you are right in the Middle of the best part of the park, surrounded by wild deer and very close to beautiful temples.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The shower was really nice and the kitchen and dining area were spacious.
The apartment we got was facing the back of the building. There are three apartments on the ground floor. Two face the street so there’s no much privacy as people walk pass all day. Ours faced the back of the building. There was an outdoor space accessible through bi-folding doors but it looked sad and abandoned. The apartment was clean and tidy but it did have a musty smell of damp, which impregnated all our clothes even after we left. The place has barely any natural light coming in despite there being a big window. We needed the lights on even at 11 in the morning. The sofa was old and extremely uncomfortable. There was bo bedside table or any other furniture in the toom, to place things such as jewelry, phone or watch. It felt very basic
