Handy location if you're doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing or any nearby trails. Great views of the mountains (Tongariro & Ngauruhoe) and their snowy winter cloaks.
I was caught out by the "no bed linen" conditions of my room. Was it my responsibility to read all the "fine-print"? Yes. But this info is not front-n-center and it's the first time in all my travels to come across this so it could have been a problem if I'd not packed lots of winter warm clothes to compensate.

Room was clean and had heaters which were alright. Kitchen and Washroom was not too far from the room but you still have to walk/run in the cold weather at night which is a bit inconvenient. But the services and cleanliness of both spots were pretty good.
Since its 0 degrees at night, its a bit of a hassle to go to the washroom and the kitchen as its not close to the rooms. You dont get any network on your phone and the WiFi is paid and flaky so you cannot rely on it. Food options are limited as you have to drive 15-20kms to the closest town to get food and groceries.

It’s so close to the shuttle bus to make the Tongariro trekking, bathrooms, kitchen and showers clean. Fabolous space in the gaming room to be chill if empty.
The price for the room it’s a bit high, for one night it’s okay but is so small. You have to pay for Wifi which it’s fine but the conexion it’s not good at all so you don’t know where you are spending your data.

Very close to the centre of the park. The owners were helpful with regards to walk suggestions.
Very small room with no window. No hairdryer. It was expensive compared to any other properties we have stayed in in New Zealand. Not good value for money.
