This is a comfortable place to stay just outside Ginosa, for visitors with their own car. Ginosa should not be missed by visitors who love going off the beaten track and seeing the real Puglia! It is unjustly neglected by tourists (several people asked if we were pilgrims), and the authorities. At the end of a typical small town, you suddenly come across a decrepit Norman castle and an amazing ravine (gravina) full of sassi and a few painted cave churches. The Ginosa ravine is like a small version of the (highly restored and over-touristed) Matera ravine. It's unrestored and atmospheric - the only other visitors when we were there (late September) were an Italian film crew planning their location. If you eat meat, Ginosa also has a number of good butchers which also function as restaurants for very typical local dishes.
The villa is not set up for self catering, which would be the most practical option for most people, given its distance from town, at least when we went (late September). Apparently in summer it has a restaurant, but it was closed. There is a coffee machine in the hall. It felt like we were the only visitors and we saw no staff - the owner kindly made a special visit to let us in (at relatively short notice for the booking) - so it was a bit dark and lonely. But reading other reviews, it is very different in summer.
The villa has great potential for year-round visits, it has a lovely garden, comfortable rooms etc and if Ginosa gets as many visitors as it deserves, then Villa d'Anzi hopefully will be full of life again in all seasons!

Super nice villa and the family of owners. Very clean rooms and superbly artistic garden with lovely statues and details. Owners were more than pleasent and helpful. All in all, great experience and we will be back for sure. Vito D'Anzy, thanks a million☆.

La struttura è ben tenuta, pulita, comodo parcheggio, il sig. Angelo mi è sembrato una brava persona.

Sinceramente com'è semplice punto di appoggio a 180 euro è stato molto esoso.
Il letto a baldacchino coreografico ma scomodo : due notti svegli e con dolori...materassi da cambiare con urgenza.
Ho cenato al ristorante del beb dato in gestione: oltre ad un' attesa esagerata avrei gradito un riguardo in convenzione dal momento che si alloggiava nella stessa struttura.....
Da non sottovalutare una doccia da revisionare.
Cmq nel complesso non ritornerei e non lo consiglierei.
Non se la prenda il figlio del proprietario: la mia è una modesta e personale recensione dell'esperienza patita...tutto qui....
Ero consapevole che neanche la colazione era possibile: cmq trovato un bar a Ginosa paese molto buono e gestito con professionalità.
